So i have been reading the constitution...

Second Amendment
A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

I see nowhere in this statement that you are supposed to go to public places and shoot at people because of different beliefs or just for your amusement...

There’s no conflict between being armed and observing the laws against assault and homicide.

As a crude observation once made by old woman I knew said,
“Every gal has the equipment to be a prostitute but that doesn’t mean every woman is whoring around”
@redredred gun nuts don't feel like you do

@DIABLISS I guess it’s a matter of definition. There are perhaps 400 million privately owned firearms in this country and less than .004% ever get used in a crime. A far larger percentage get used defensively to prevent crimes most often without being fired.

@redredred you realize that statistics are way off? it is like saying 1 in 5 women get raped or have experienced attempted rape in their lifetime. That is way off! Every woman i have met or talked to on the internet has been raped so those numbers are wrong.
as for guns used in crimes...most of the time they don't know where a gun came from filed down or it isn't found so how can those statistics be accurate

@DIABLISS they are actually understated since it assumes every gun homicide is committed with a unique gun. Gang bangers probably use the same gun in several homicides.

The math is simple.
Take the total number of gun homicides (excluding suicide unless you consider that a crime) over the total number of privately owned firearms.

Roughly, 16,000/400,000,000 = .00004 or .004%
@redredred i was saying that it is understated and you give me math

@redredred Do you see anything in the 2nd Amendment that prevents national gun licensing plus national gun registration?
