Do Brits really believe in the "canal pusher"? Canals in the UK are only waist deep!

The victim would just stand there, in waist deep water and in ruined joggers and go "...was that supposed to kill me?"

I'm convinced all these "pushed into a canal and drowned" stories the media cooks up is the British equivalent of Russia's "fell out of a window"

Too funny.

My Great Aunt drowned in the Swansea Canal in the 1930s she was walking her dog late at night, verdict " Death by Miss-adventure" my late Grandmother never fully got over her death.

It doesn't take much water in order for a person to drown. They could land on their head, or on something submerged.

@Thevy29 It could be pitch dark no light what so ever and unable to climb out, the water could be freezing - my late Great Aunt died April 9th 1934 Drowned in the Swansea Canal.
