I do have some qualms about the AI voice filter. Yet I don't have any qualms about the factual use of AI.
No American would consistently pause like that BTW.

@FreddieUK She's made about three that I know about recently.
FreddieUK · 70-79, M
@DeWayfarer Perhaps not on topics that have attracted my attention, but I'll look for them.

@FreddieUK They are within the last month or so. Should be on her YouTube channel as well.

I was expecting to hear that "Muhammad" being the most common name for baby boys in England was also a lie.
Alas, I was wrong, at least as of 2023. 😕
P.S. And "Freddie" dropped from 10th to 12th
between 2022 and 2023. ☹

And precisely where did you hear this pathetic rumour?
I heard your PM Starmer was proposing that Big Ben's name be changed.

@ninalanyon Many people seem not even sure to what the name applies anyway!

It didn't claim to. You brought it up, but didn't address anything actually in the video.
"alas, the clip couldn't debunk that one."

Perceptions are different from reality.
There are British newspapers that paint gloom and doom too.
I once travelled on a train to work and listened to students discussing bias in News Papers. They were asked to look at the Daily Mail. One said she had read it thoroughly and could find none.
How many people have actually read a book on Iran. Or one on BRICS nations?

Good grief!

Checking population statistics, Litchfield has such a small Muslim population that they didn't even make the statistical charts. I wonder, however, what this man would say if he were to walk about in Birmingham?

@4meAndyou
I assume you mean Boston in Massachusetts
rather than the one in England. 🤫
Yes, our Boston is very unsafe.

@Thinkerbell A friend of mine had to go there, to the hospital a couple of years ago, and there was a shooting right outside the front door of the hospital. We started driving home, and the police were engaged in a high speed chase of said shooter, which ended on Rte 9 in Wellesley, (we heard later, on the news).
I also refuse to go to the Mall in Braintree because there are quite a few gang related shootings there.

Well, my only unsafe experience in Boston happened when I was driving in the Back Bay area on Commonwealth Ave in the right-hand lane of two eastbound lanes, with parked cars to my right. I saw a taxi double parked about a block ahead, so I switched to the left lane. I had almost reached the taxi when he opened the driver's side door. I had to swerve partially onto the grassy median on my left to avoid hitting the door of the taxi. 😲
Another day in Boston traffic. 🙄

Commie propaganda video. Reminds me of when Americans living in China do that for the ccp.
FreddieUK · 70-79, M
@Munumbis That's exactly what the American who made this video said. The right wing pick out some things and exaggerate to make a political point. I live here. It's very different today than it was in the 1950s when 'no coloureds or Irish' signs were openly displayed on accommodation. So much better. That's not frightening. I have friends who are Muslim. That doesn't create fear. Immigration is an issue and only a fool would say it isn't, but the UK is peaceful and as free as the USA and in many ways safer. You don't need to worry about us being 'commie'. We just care about other people a bit more, perhaps.
