I was expecting to hear that "Muhammad" being the most common name for baby boys in England was also a lie.
Alas, I was wrong, at least as of 2023. 😕
P.S. And "Freddie" dropped from 10th to 12th
between 2022 and 2023. ☹

@Thinkerbell well it is certainly not Donald. You can be sure of that.
Thinkerbell · 41-45, F
@peterlee
Correct. "Donald" didn't make the top 13 either in 2022 or 2023.
Come to think of it, "Charles" didn't either. 😯
But "Noah" was 1st in 2022 and 2nd in 2023.
Are they expecting a flood...? 🤔

@Thinkerbell No signs of Benjamin, thankfully either.

@Thinkerbell It may well have been the single most common name but add all the others up and it still not outdoing all the others. Fashions come and go.

@Thinkerbell
Alas, I was wrong,
What conclusions have you drawn? And what conclusions are you inviting us to draw?
FreddieUK · 70-79, M
@ninalanyon Got there before me,,,thanks.

The conclusion I have drawn is that this claim, commonly cited on right-wing media, is indeed a fact and not a lie.
Noah seems to be a top name in Sweden too.
Maybe they are also expecting a flood.

@Thinkerbell Your use of the word alas suggested to me that you might be attaching some meaning to this fact and I was inquiring what meaning you had in mind.
