Why do we still complain about taxes AND complain we want services/roads etc as good as they have in high tax countries. It's a cliché now, but we want US tax levels and Swedish service levels. The pictures I have seen of US roads show me that the lack of infrastructure spend leads to dreadful road surfaces as a matter of course. Ours are bad enough. I want good collective spending on things everyone benefits from and that means (unfortunately) I have to pay into it.
