What is behind the blind generational hatred Britain has for Russia?

It is almost built into the psyche of Britain that must do what ever it can to destroy Russia. Witness the peace talks in Washington yesterday when Starmer suggested that Britain send soldiers to be 'peace keepers'. Of course he knew full well that any such action would be seen as a provocation by Russia ending the peace treaty should there be one.

The media, tv, films, every other baddie is either Russian, or Chinese, brainwashed over the years

@ididntknow Of course, the benevolence of the Russian and communist Chinese leadership is well demonstrated in media controlled by the Russian and communist China leadership.

@FreddieUK So I will ask you a question. How many wars has Russia started compared to how many wars the UK/US started or participated in since 1990?
FreddieUK · 70-79, M
@hippyjoe1955 Because a country participates in a war does not make it an aggressor. WWII was begun by an aggressive country wanting to expand and take over nearby sovereign nations. Others came to their support on thus the whole thing took off. You are quite right to point out that in its history the UK has unjustly been aggressive to countries and I would not try to defend that. It's great that you're able to live in a free country where you can make what comments you like about your government. Remind yourself of the history of how you are not part of the USA. But then again, perhaps you think that would be better.

@FreddieUK That is the official narrative. The facts about WWII are not as you think. Why was Britain supporting Poland? Nazi Germany wanted to eliminate the Soviets. It did not attack the west until the west made it clear that it was going to attack Nazi Germany.

@hippyjoe1955 Let's stop now. It's continuing to be ridiculous and your view of the world has finally made me 🤯

I continue to pray for peace, like you, so let's try to end on some agreement.

@FreddieUK We agree that the world needs peace but we need to be aware of who is starting the wars in the first place. Sadly our collective governments in the west are the ones starting the wars. MI6 and the CIA and Mossad are behind much of conflicts in the world today. If they were to not exist many of the wars would not exist either. The war in Ukraine was the result of US/UK inciting a war starting in 2014. Ever hear of the orange revolution? It was not a grass roots movement by the Ukrainians. It was an operation of the CIA/MI6

@ididntknow I suppose all the baddies in Russian and Chinese shows are "Westerners"...

At one time the usual baddies in American films were the indigenous "Indians" or occasional outlaws of European settler stock, organised crime-gang members with coffee-bar names; or the Nazis.

Similarly, "popular culture" for long made pirates in the Carribean all Spanish. At the height of that piracy, in the 16C, the attackers were mainly English privateers, and their victims were the Spanish conquistadores stealing South American native gold!

Historical accuracy is not the film industry's forte....
