May bank holiday

This weekend we observe two festivals: international workers day and the ancient celebration of Spring, fertility, and rebirth.

We had a nice day out in Weston-super-Mare with our daughter's grandfather, a lovely old Bermudan gent whose body sadly is no longer as quick as his wit and mind. It has been her dearest wish for ages to go to the beach with him and today the staff at his care home were able to help us out and make two people very happy 😊

Now we are back at home relaxing with our various hobbies. My wife is finishing a pencil drawing of the pier. I'm knitting a dress for my niece's teddy bear. Our daughter is writing an email to our newly elected councillor about traffic speed limits 🚗

Tomorrow we'll have a nice lie in . . perhaps as late as 7.30am if we're lucky 🤫 Then out for a hike and picnic with girls various and hopefully tire them out for an early night and great start to the school week.
