Was it a surprise that Labour won in Britain?🇬🇧

When I was in Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 at my Mother’s house the news was full of discussion about the approaching election and the speculation was vehement and oppressive, Starmer was trying not to appear entitled but it seems that his first act was to align with Davos rather than Westminster.

It’s a changing of the guard but will much change in Britain? 🇬🇧 Well it seems after seven previous attempts Nigel Farage has won a parliamentary seat 💺 and he has sworn to make a difference in British politics. He might if he continues to talk bravely and say like it is!

Evidently the SNP lost ground in Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 to Labour, so the question of independence has been resolved in that the Scottish people have ousted a proportion of Scottish mp’s from Westminster and the job of the SNP in Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 has just become much harder.

People in three of the four nations have been so sickened by the Tories they have flattened them. Labour has won; even people wanting independence in Scotland have loaned their votes to Labour. The Tories are eradicated in Wales and in England they've been giving a kicking.
Let's hope the UK gets back to something what it used to be, with decent people in charge and not the self seeking Tory trash who have done so much damage.

In a word - no.

Since Liz Truss crashed the economy so badly they never regained in the polls. So no surprises. Reform coming up and taking so many Tory votes away probably costing Tories hundreds of seats.

I'm not sure there's anything particularly brave about Nigel Farage. He has the appearance of a playground bully who says whatever he needs to further his own position. Now he is established he has resorted to having hecklers ejected from his speaking events, so he is increasingly talking to himself.

The SNP has been crushed. One example (the Tories the other obvious one) of politicians being punished by the voters for bad behaviour. We won't hear Scottish independence mentioned again for a long time.
No surprise at all.
