People shake their heads and tut and think "that's a shame," bank branches ought to be supported - and do their banking online anyway. It's exactly the same for butchers or greengrocers v supermarkets (and now increasingly supermarkets v online shopping too).

@Lhayezee We had a hardware shop close to where I live, which was part of a small local chain. Whenever I went in for something like rechargeable batteries for my cordless phone (different specs to the common ones) they'd say "Nah! Try Amazon" - And they'd be delivered in a day or 2 on Prime. That shop has now become a Heron's Frozen Food store....
