Notice that not one of the nations in the poster is France...😷

@whowasthatmaskedman Oh my goodness: a British wartime propaganda poster boosting the fighting forces of the commonwealth, and it didn't highlight the defeated French - who'd have thought it?

@whowasthatmaskedman Thanks. I love Stephen Fry (... Oops! ... I'm not gay!)

@Gorps I'm a big fan as well. Hes on my list of the ultimate dinner party guests..😷

@whowasthatmaskedman Do you ever fantasize about putting 2 unlikely characters together for dinner - say Billy Connolly and Christine Lagarde; or billy Connolly with just about anyone - The Dalai Llama, Donald Trump, Adolf Hitler?
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@Gorps No. My Party would be all about me. I would spend all night listening to Brian Cox, Neil De Grasse Tyson, Stephen Fry a couple of others. (Billy Connolly sadly wouldnt make the cut now..)😷

@whowasthatmaskedman Sorry you don't think Connolly would be a worthy dinner companion. Amazingly, (if you've seen some of his more outrageous 'comedy'routines) he can be totally charming, empathetic, and is a very intelligent man.

@Gorps Dont get me wrong. I have been a big fan since the Black leotard and banana boot days. But the parkinsons has slowed him to a crawl which he admits himself. In fact I would be happy to throw the party in his honor.. Hes a wonderful storyteller...😷
