I Live In the United Kingdom

I read in the Western Mail this morning that Wales, along with Scotland and Northern Ireland have objected to the bill that allows us to leave the EU. It was not reported in the UK press. As I understand it the UK parliament can overrule that but it will be for the first time ever. And it gives the right to Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland to consider whether they wish to be part of the Union. A lot of people world wide don’t realise that the UK is made up of different countries. And it’s like EU, we can leave.

Any vote in the assembly that objects to us leaving the EU is purely symbolic. It carries no legal weight and Westminister will ignore it.
We are not an independent country -yet-and just have to accept that Britain is leaving the EU.Which means we are.

The whole point is that on thirteen occasions in the past Wales has objected to laws passed by the UK which affect our devolved powers. And each time the UK government has amended its proposals. If it ignores us, it’ll be the first time and it’ll be interesting for what used to be the UK. @TheSirfurryanimalWales
