I Live In the United Kingdom

I read in the Western Mail this morning that Wales, along with Scotland and Northern Ireland have objected to the bill that allows us to leave the EU. It was not reported in the UK press. As I understand it the UK parliament can overrule that but it will be for the first time ever. And it gives the right to Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland to consider whether they wish to be part of the Union. A lot of people world wide don’t realise that the UK is made up of different countries. And it’s like EU, we can leave.

I didnt realise that Wales had the right to belong to the EU separately. That would get .... ugly, with the need for border guards against smuggling to/from England.

@firefall Great Britain is the name our island. It was quite happy till about 1500 years ago. But we didn’t have rules in place about illegal immigrants.
@firefall we don’t .

Lol, Scotland's already had one referendum on independence... and Westminster is denying them a second because the SNP didn't like the "Remain" result.
@BlodynHaf Trweryn is one the most despicable things that was ever imposed on Wales.I may have a thread about it from sometime ago.Although it may be on another forum. Can’t remember.
@BlodynHaf Who's army are you going to use, then... because the British army will be against you if necessary???

Have you ever thought about people fighting for their lives against an imperialist power? Like Ireland had to. Welsh people are not as the English. @HootyTheNightOwl
Any vote in the assembly that objects to us leaving the EU is purely symbolic. It carries no legal weight and Westminister will ignore it.
We are not an independent country -yet-and just have to accept that Britain is leaving the EU.Which means we are.

The whole point is that on thirteen occasions in the past Wales has objected to laws passed by the UK which affect our devolved powers. And each time the UK government has amended its proposals. If it ignores us, it’ll be the first time and it’ll be interesting for what used to be the UK. @TheSirfurryanimalWales

Just further proof that only one place in the UK matters to these people. Just pushing us further and further away.
BlodynHaf · 22-25, F
@thatscottishguy Yes.London. Llong Dinas in Welsh. Llong means ship. Dinas means city. City of ships. The Romans changed it to Londinium. They couldn't manage the Welsh letter Ll!Then we had more than illegal immigrants we could cope with. They called it London.

Ulster joins the Republic and Scotland is an independent country once again.
BlodynHaf · 22-25, F
And Wales? It’s where it will happen. @Crazywaterspring
Am all in favor of that
BlodynHaf · 22-25, F
@questionWeaver Its like watch this space. Wales is getting quite heated already.
