18 Killed, Over 100 Wounded in Massive Overnight Russian Missile and Drone Barrage Across Ukraine
Russia launched a massive combined missile and drone attack across Ukraine in the early hours of Tuesday, killing at least 18 people and injuring over 100 others. Kyiv reported 6 killed and 79 injured, including 3 children, while Dnipro reported 12 killed, including two children, and at least 37 wounded. Kharkiv and Kyiv region were also hit, with fires, damaged residential buildings, and power outages reported across multiple areas.

Russia launched a massive combined missile and drone attack across Ukraine in the early hours of Tuesday, June 2, killing at least 18 people and injuring over 100 others as strikes hit Kyiv, Dnipro, Kharkiv and Kyiv region, local authorities said.
The overnight assault triggered fires, damaged multi-story residential buildings across several regions and knocked out power in parts of the capital.
In Kyiv, 5 people were killed, according to Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko.
“One victim died in hospital. Five people died as a result of the attack on the capital on June 2.”
According to the State Emergency Service (DSNS), as of 8:00 a.m., four people had been killed and 58 injured in Kyiv, including three children.
“Rescuers continue to deal with the consequences of the large-scale Russian attack,” the report said.
Later, DSNS clarified that the number of victims had risen to 64. Among those injured by shrapnel is a three-year-old child, the Ministry of Internal Affairs said.
“Rescue operations have been completed in the Podilskyi and Shevchenkivskyi districts. Firefighters extinguished fires in the Obolonskyi, Darnytskyi, and Holosiivskyi districts,” the rescuers reported.
Emergency crews are still eliminating the aftermath of the overnight and morning strikes.
In his latest update at 12:41 p.m., Kyiv Mayor said 66 residents of the capital were injured, and 6 people were killed.
