Ukraine War

At long last the I.C.C has issued an arrest warrant for Putin for crimes against humanity . So he is now a wanted man . Hopefully this will put the fear of god up other russian soldiers that if their leader can be arrested and tried for war crimes then they are just as much at risk of the same thing happening to them . Now no matter what happens Putin will not remain in power if the war ends . He is facing the rest of his life behind bars . He may say he doesnt recognise the I.C.C but whether he does or doesnt will make no difference when he is arrested tried and found guilty .

To charge Russia with war crimes will never happen. It takes guts to do that and the USA just don't have the power.The other countries need Russia for oil and minerals . China and Russia are going to own Ukraine. That would be good then the USA will not have too give money to Ukraine to rebuilt it.

Vladimir Putin has been charged with illegally deporting thousands of Ukrainian children to Russia - it may seem strange charging him with just that but it might be a "specimen charge"; others coming up in due course.

You are right that that USA is not party to this, but you suggest the wrong reason. The charge was brought by the International Criminal Court, formed of more than 120 countries and going back to the post-WW2 Nuremberg Trials of the Nazi High Command. The countries [i]not[/i] part of the I.C.C. include Putin's own Russia... and the USA.

So in theory he could visit (or flee to) America....

Oil and minerals? Well, most of the world is working hard to stop using petroleum products anyway, but yes, we still need minerals and its is frightening that China has stealthily gained control of many of the world's resources of these.

As for "good" that the USA need not help Ukraine rebuild herself... Do you really want your country to be that callous?
