The rain in Spain falls mainly....

...on me.

That's not true but been in Spain the last week on a sneaky little break and was more wet than I think I've ever experienced before. Just showers.

Back to grey old Blighty now. No rain but constant cloud cover.

Been on a run along the beach to blow the cobwebs away.

My son and I went many times with my parents during school holidays..

Brutally hot was more or less the norm.

I think many places in the south of Spain would maybe be better in May or September?

@AfternoonWine yeah sadly with my job I can't take holiday from 1st June until mid October.
@KatyO83 That's a shame.. but there's maybe the last couple of weeks of May.

I hope you enjoyed your break despite the damp conditions

That's normal. It's the rainy season. 😅 Or so I heard.

@CrazyMusicLover we have been in Spain many times. The accuracy of the song is in doubt as far as we can attest to. We were in Granada in January and there was cold rain and snow , in Ronda in March and there was hail, in Malaya in April and it was hell, Madrid during the summer, brutally hot.

@samueltyler2 Okay but in autumn there is DANA which in recent years gets pretty out of hand. And some rain season is also in spring, typically around the Easter. Mostly affecting the east coast and south.

@CrazyMusicLover we have a time share in Marbella, we have been there in every season, maybe we were just lucky, but I do not remember bad rain. We were in Granada once when it was a very cold rain, but it was only off and on.
