The Fishmas Tree

MYSTERIOUS “FISHMAS TREE” APPEARS ON BANKS OF LOCH NESS
“Season’s greetings… from the deep.”

Early morning walkers along Loch Ness have been left equal parts festive and unsettled after discovering a fully constructed Christmas tree made entirely from fish bones on the loch’s shoreline.

The structure, now officially dubbed The Fishmas Tree, stands just over six feet tall and has been carefully assembled using what experts believe are salmon, trout, and “a few bits no one can confidently identify.” No tinsel. No lights. Just pure aquatic craftsmanship.

Most intriguingly, large flipper shaped markings have been found pressed into the muddy banks nearby, leading directly from the water to the tree and back again. Wildlife investigators say the spacing, depth, and gentle festive flourish of the prints strongly suggest one thing, Nessie has been getting into the Christmas spirit.

“This wasn’t washed up by accident” said one local expert. “This was made. Deliberately. With pride.”

The Fishmas Tree appears to have been constructed overnight, with the bones woven together in a surprisingly tasteful spiral design. At the base sits a small arrangement of stones believed to represent presents, though authorities stress these may also just be rocks Nessie likes.

Highland folklore specialists note that while Nessie has long been associated with mystery, secrecy, and refusing to appear in clear photographs, this may be the first recorded instance of her embracing seasonal cheer.

There are currently no plans to remove the Fishmas Tree. Instead, the local council has confirmed it will remain in place until it naturally falls apart.

Merry Fishmas to all… and to all a good fright
