Scottish Island on sale

Well, the majority of us, thus me included, can can only dream of owning a Scottish island with a ruined castle on top of it. Its actual near-to-Atlantic position in the Hebridean archipelago protects Shuna island from the ocean swells, but occasionally brings also a challenge of navigating the nearby Corryvreckan whirlpools. There have been human settlements on the island for at least 4,500 years, evidenced by Stone and Iron Age burial mounds and ruined farms and houses.

Limekilns from the 18th and 19th Centuries remain still dotted around the island and on the island there estimated to have been a population of about 80 people between 1750 and 1850. A kiln is a a furnace or oven for burning, baking, or drying, especially one for calcining lime or firing pottery, and a limekiln is one in which limestone is burnt or calcined to produce quicklime. Quicklime is a versatile compound used in various applications, including construction, environmental management, and agriculture.

It's a dream. Island looks peaceful. But if I had a alot of money I don't know if it would be great to own an island if I won't be living on it. 😅
