Where did this rumour start
hippyjoe1955 · 70-79, M
@GovanDUNNY there is a video of a former Ukrainian commander who said that he and his unit had switched sides. Not sure why they would do that. If taken POW I would simply stay in prison rather than go back to the fight.

SW-User
@hippyjoe1955 They possibly want the chance to take Zelensky. He sent them boys out on a suicide mission
chibs · 61-69, M
@SW-User and yet... Day 618 😂
chibs · 61-69, M
@hippyjoe1955 and where is the link to that video?
Or is it yet another unlinked, unavailable, vague video that you say you saw at some time in some place?

@chibs let me guess you think that Desert Storm is how all wars are fought.

SW-User
@chibs I don't understand what you're implying. I suppose you're one of those "3day offensive" dolts?

SW-User
@hippyjoe1955 meanwhile...
The reputation of the US military strength is dropping. Used to be undebatable.

@SW-User which proves? The point is that it is much more efficient to defend than attack. Russia has had Ukraine do nothing but attack. That has given Russia a huge win. It's enemy is committing slow suicide. Russia doesn't need to attack.

SW-User
@hippyjoe1955 My point is that no one ( in their right state of mind) appears to buy the "Russia so weak" narrative.
hippyjoe1955 · 70-79, M
@SW-User except a lot of war mongering Americans who can't believe that their country has limitations.
chibs · 61-69, M
@hippyjoe1955 The russian terrorists are being driven back. They lose ground every day.
Any 'offensive' the orcs try results in staggering losses in both troops and equipment, and the Ukrainians are destroying russia's logistical capability.
The russian navy has run away from a country that doesn't have a navy 😂
The terrorists have been forced to move their helicopters so far from the front lines that they're effectively useless, while they cover their aircraft in tyres, and paint outlines onto the tarmac in the hope of luring Ukrainian strikes away from the real aircraft.
russia... 2nd best army in Ukraine 😂😂
Have you found the link to that video yet?

@SW-User It's a survey... and flawed in every way. For example, the survey sample was self-selecting, and even that was only after the general population was largely excluded.
and even then they asked for respondents opinions.
Not an objective measure in sight!
"Self-identification in demographic questions distinguished respondents into three defined groups: informed elites, meaning college-educated individuals who consider themselves middle-class or higher and who read or watch the news at least four days a week; business decision-makers, meaning senior leaders in an organization or small-business owners who employ others; and general public, meaning adults at least 18 years old who were nationally representative of their country in terms of age and gender.
Individuals who were likely to fit these descriptions were targeted and sent the link to an online survey powered by the Kantar Profiles Audience Network. A total of 17,195 individuals from 36 countries in regions spanning the globe – the Americas, Africa, Asia, Europe and the Middle East – were surveyed. Of the respondents, 8,267 were informed elites, 4,622 were business decision-makers and 7,402 were considered general public. Some respondents were considered both informed elites and business decision-makers."
Should I continue..?

@chibs You can continue, doubt you'd have had a problem with an "opinion" that continued to hold the formally almighty US as number 1 in military strength, but that's exactly my point when I say there was a time when it was considered undebatable that the US is number 1 among a general public in that department and yet despite the massive push to paint Russia as having failed in Ukraine, 5 percent of US military spend used to demolish 50 percent of Russias military capability blah blah blah.... no one with common sense is buying into it. In fact Russia only grew more powerful. Your days of using desert storm as a sales pitch for the might of the US army are over and I suppose all you have left is the bloated military spend.
Yet, none of the wonder weapons work, the Patriot failed and continues to fail, the challenger2 tank inauguration into the Russia/Ukraine was to be abandoned and burnt not long after it arrived, like the leopards... We haven't heard much about them since, I wonder why. ATACMS are being shot down and the few that made it through didn't hurt the Russians much. The initial sting of HIMARS has been minimized. Russia is dropping Ukrainian MiGs and Sukhoi like flies as appetizer for F-16s, global hawk is suspected to have been hacked by Russia and grounded for a couple of weeks now. Are there anymore wonder weapons you want the Russians to take a swing at? It will only diminish the perception of US military might among more people.

@SW-User and yet - Day 618
russia loses more ground every day, the Avdiivka meat grinder continues to demonstrate russia's desperation and impotence, and russia's television propagandists now discuss anything except how the war is going.
Meanwhile, the 'Great Leader' talks about the high price of chicken and begs North Korea for help, while russia's front-line commanders complain that they've run out of body bags.
The Ukrainians are destroying russia's Potemkin army, and they're doing it by using the West's obsolete and surplus equipment.
The russians are now trying to match that by fielding tanks manufactured in the 40s and 50s 😂
No Patriot systems have been destroyed, no Himars have been destroyed, and no Atacms have been intercepted (you know that Atacms using cluster munitions don't explode, right?)

@chibs Yes day 618. You can start by linking any Russian official to a claim of a three day offensive. Oh let me guess, RT talking heads said so and because it's a state funded institution that somehow makes it an arm of the military🤔. I'm glad you know What RT is talking about I certainly don't, but I'm aware that much of the media seems to focus more on the corruption in Ukraine than their supposed victory. In fact as recently as two days ago Zelensky aide called him delusional. According to Time magazine, the aide claims some men on the front lines are refusing to fight because they neither have the weapons nor the man power to execute a victory over Russia. Maybe Time is now pushing Putin's propaganda for him ...
Avdiivka is falling apart as we speak. The slag heep has fallen into Russian hands and they continue to assault Ukraine daily with significant results. Ukrainian troops on the ground aren't certain if they'll even hold the line. You're for certain correct in calling it a meat grinder though, because Avdiivka is semi encircled which requires a constant flow of meat for the grinder if they want to retake control of the slag heep. Zelensky has put Zaluzhnyi on notice that losing Avdiivka is an absolute no no and yet Russia is making way towards the coke plant as we speak.
In fact Russia is on the assault on many fronts including Rabotino, which if I'm not mistaken, is where Ukraine was said to have broken through the Surovikin line in July was it? They were supposedly heading towards Verbove after having done so. Well Ukraine is being pushed back in Rabotino. Verbove has been abandoned. Turns out Ukraine is STILL bogged down at Russias first line of defense, and since we like putting time lines to these operations, gen Milley, an actual official of the US military at the time, said the operation to break through Russian defenses and reach the sea of Azov would take no more than 10 weeks. Well... We hit the 10 week mark back in July already. In fact the only place Ukraine is showing a modicum of progress is in Kherson.
And if you want to talk about begging, the Almighty US can't keep up with Ukraine's usage of 155 mm artillery shells and is begging for munitions anywhere it can find them and even going as low as to steal weapons from Iran to give to Ukraine. The Wests hand me downs are obsolete yes, Russia made certain of it and merely claiming "nah ah, no interception" isn't going to change the reality on the front line. A recent video shows a modern tank (leopard if I'm not mistaken) taken out by the very Soviet era tanks you think are a sign of Russias weakness.

@SW-User and if any of that is correct, then the terrorists will take Kyiv in a few weeks, yes?

@chibs So did you hear about the large losses Ukraine just suffered at one of their biggest strongholds in Eastern Ukraine? Looks like the Ukrainian tunnels in that region are being cleared. Sad that this war ever started. Even more sad that the US has abandoned its ally in Ukraine. I wonder how much longer Zelensky will be president. Rumors have it that there is a power block developing to depose him.
chibs · 61-69, M
@hippyjoe1955 No, I didn't hear about that... perhaps you'd like to offer some evidence for your claim?
This war didn't 'start'. This war was started... by putin and his gangster cabal. They lied about it before they started it, and they have continued to lie ever since (lying lavrov is an example of that).
I fail to see why you feel that the US has abandoned Ukraine. While that might be the wet dream of the autocratic, fascist, terrorists, it simply isn't true. Is it a dream you share with them?
The Ukrainians are planning a general election for late Spring next year, so perhaps President Zelensky will be re-elected, or perhaps not. Nobody knows until the votes are counted. That's how democracy works... unlike the russian farce. I know that democracy confuses you, but there's lots available online that will explain it to you.
More 'rumour has it'? Really, you shouldn't invent a rumour and then say 'rumour has it'. Please try to do better. Perhaps your fascist handlers can give you advice about that... read through the instructions they send you.

@chibs Answering someone who remains woefully ignorant of facts by choice is a waste of time and effort. I am going to laugh my face off when you suddenly realize that Ukraine doesn't exist anymore as is happening. I don't wish Ukraine to lose but seriously only an idiot would think that Ukraine is somehow winning. Even the Ukrainians are saying they are losing and losing badly.

SW-User
@chibs yeah turns out explaining anything to a dunce with a fanboyish perceptive on the war is fucking exhausting. Ukraines youth are dying and all you have to say is 6 hundred and x days, forgetting that Ukraine capitulated to Russian negotiations within days after they went into Ukraine.
Guess what, the good ol' US of A would suffer just as heavy losses in Ukraine. Russia/Ukraine is nothing like picking on goat herders in the desert with AK 47s and Toyota pick-ups. And that's why you're all too happy to sacrifice Ukrainians to save your own. Perhaps you read some of Ben Wallace articles that claim Ukraine is winning yet urges Zelensky to sacrifice the remaining youth to finish the job. You're fucking psychopaths the lot of you.
Nevertheless taking Kyiv in 3 days or at all was never a stated military objective and if it was you can offer EVIDENCE for that since you seem to dismiss everything else I say as lacking in evidence. Heck I gave you a source for Zelenskys aide calling him delusional, by the way he goes on to say that they (Ukraine ) aren't winning the war, but that's the part where you say Time magazine is pushing Russian propaganda and Zelenskys aide is a Putin puppet yeah?
