Russia had the Warsaw pact with neighboring countries

Russia had the Warsaw pact, similar to nato but with surrounding countries. They dissolved the pact and asked the west to do the same with nato, but they kept expanding this is a direct confrontation to Russia. It’s the west that is at fault.

Bull. The Soviet Union impossed the Warsaw Pact on Eastern Europe and held then used their military to keep them under Soviet control. All of the countries that have joined NATO did so voulentarily to protect themselves from falling under Russian control. Learn some history idiot.

@Ferise1 Hi, historian here. The USSR and Russia were never promised NATO would dissolve nor was it considered. This myth goes back to Gorbachev saying he was “tricked” about NATO expansion but he later reversed himself. Suggest you read the now unclassified transcripts between James Baker and Gorbachev from 1990.
