Russia had the Warsaw pact with neighboring countries

Russia had the Warsaw pact, similar to nato but with surrounding countries. They dissolved the pact and asked the west to do the same with nato, but they kept expanding this is a direct confrontation to Russia. It’s the west that is at fault.

Russia held the Warsaw pact against their will with their military rolling tanks every time they got out of line. Hungary and Czechoslovakia, for example. At the first chance those countries got they fled Russian influence and flocked to the West for protection from the imperialistic Russians. For good reason too....as evidenced by the unbridled aggression the Russians are trying in Ukraine. When the subjugated nations can they flee.

The days of the Russians dictating what independent nations do are over. Those nations have a say in what they do. Every one of them has a history that taught them what Russian hegemony means and they decided they want nothing to do with it.
