Battery cars are not widely accessible, or even in production to replace heavy equipment that operate using diesel fuel. Suspending fossil fuel would generate the largest scale famine humanity has ever seen.
Returning to locally grown food would have to happen first. Almost like a plantation setting, or renters will become impoverished and starve.

@checkoutanytime Yeah because here where it is 9 months of winter and 3 months of tough sledding we will grow our own bananas and oranges and other fresh fruits that require long growing seasons.

@hippyjoe1955 i dont disagree. They want to stop fossil fuels entirely, without a suitable plan, is all im speculating about.

@checkoutanytime Yeah that isn't going to happen. Electric cars and trucks use oil products. They also create more environmental harm in their construction than an ICE car does in its construction and use. Everyone gets fooled by not seeing the exhaust coming from the car. Instead the exhaust is coming from the electrical generating station miles away. Well that and the mines etc that are raping the earth to come up with all the specialty metals and minerals needed to make the batteries etc. There is a reason the ship sank. One of the electric cars spontaneously combusted and set all the other cars on fire. Electric cars are an environmental disaster.
