Theocratic Ethostate

Okay so someone brought this to my attention and I really wanted to talk about it.

I get a lot of people saying that Israel is meant to be their own theocratic ethnostate. Which you guys are completely forgetting that even in the original bible it wasn’t just jewish people living there. There were also muslims as well as Christians. Palestine was seen as a harmonious paradise for people of all religions and cultures to live together in peace

In this day and age the world has become much more diverse, with people coming from all over living in the same societies.

so for Israelis to try and run out the Palestinians it goes against everything the land itself was founded upon.

@basilfawlty89 She is a fool, and I have no issue explaining why. A very small child would probably be able to explain why.

@sascha all I heard was more ad hominems. Actually counter her arguments. Insulting someone is not an argument. Smearing people won't work.

@sascha you haven’t proven me wrong tho your only retort is “its not genocide” then proceeding call me stupid. If anyone is stupid its you. They’re committing war crimes in front of your eyes and you’re still saying they’re not the bad guys? You guys always bring it back to hamas whenever I asked about the atrocities Israel has committed m. And you bring up shit that has already been disproven on MULTIPLE occasions. So not only does your argument not make any fucking sense, you have legit nothing to add to the conversation.

@sascha i didn’t say there was a song about him is said he was mentioned under the Song of Solomon 5:12
littlelia · 18-21, F
@sascha you can’t say its not genocide, they’re tearing people from their land, then places them in a small strip of land that is completely closed off from the rest of the world. Then they are bombing them. And they are ONLY doing this to palestinians. That is genocide no matter what you say.

You found muslims in the Bible? You know, the Bible put together in the fourth century and muslims who began in the seventh century.
littlelia · 18-21, F
@redredred Muhammad was a muslim
littlelia · 18-21, F
@redredred actually the bible was put together in the 8th century but some still debate it being the 10th

The problem with basing everything around a founding mythology is that any people who have existed for some time or is an adherent of a large faith can claim it as their Holy Land.

The Holy Land is sacred to Jewish people, Christians and Muslims. If we truly believe in liberty and equality, we can't have a theocracy. Whether it be Muslim, Christian or Jewish.

For background, I come from a Christian family, but converted to Zoroastrianism. I'm not by blood Persian and I don't think have rights to land in Iran because of my conversion.
That's exactly correct. It's real and can exist the way it did originally, with other people welcome in it. Any other version of Israel, I'm not okay with.
@littlelia
I disagree because Israel was only brought about because the british gave Jewish people land that was already being inhabited by the Palestinians.
You do realize it was the British who gave the land to the Palestinians in 1920? So then they took part of Palestine, 28 years after giving it to the Palestinians, and gave it to the Israelis.
littlelia · 18-21, F
@LordShadowfire actually no palestinians were there wayyyy before 1920, about 500,000 years ago to be exact. They were officially made a country in 1988 though.
littlelia · 18-21, F
@LordShadowfire britain can’t “give land” to people if those people were already living there.

@robb65 interesting that you'd call the Nakba them "running away". Could they perhaps have run away due to the fact that Jewish terrorist groups like Irgun and Lehi massacred Palestinians and destroyed whole villages? What's the term for using violence and intimidation to drive people out from there land...oh right, ethnic cleansing!
littlelia · 18-21, F
@robb65 the surrounding nations don’t want to help because Israel provides them with majority of their weapons, and how does that saying go? “You dont but the hand that feeds you” as for that bit about hamas having built rockets with the pipes i guarantee you they did not. They had no time to do so. They were busy trying to get more resources for the people of Gaza because Israel is still very much in control of what goes in and out of Gaza.

The only reason they pulled out of Gaza because it was deemed “no longer safe” for IDF soldiers due to the excessive amount of bombing that Israel was doing.

As for Israel only getting a “tiny sliver” no they took the land and THEY separated it into sections dividing the Palestinian people so that it would be harder for them to resist the regime over time, pushing majority of the Palestinian population of their land forcing them to live on a 25ml long strip of land with a population of over 2 million people.

You basically just took what happened to the Palestinians and used it to make Israel look like the victim when they aren’t.
