I think the Pope forgot to read Exodus 17:8-13. God used Moses and his arms and the "staff of God" in his hand to help the Israelites defeat the Amalekites. @4meAndyou As a lifelong Catholic, I can tell you that the Church has unfortunately fallen by the waist side for a number of years now. I would take President Trump's and America's any day over anything the Vatican says. Believe me, the majority of rank and file Catholics feel the same way as we do. @4meAndyou I understand. I've found that through the years, one tends to see the world as the world actually is. And not as someone else would like the world to be. I was taught growing up that the Catholic church was the beacon of morality, honor and truth. Then I saw the world as it is and realized I was being manipulated. Now I call balls and strikes and left the tribe mentality behind.
