I don't hate Irish people, I just hate Ireland

I just want to be clear—I have nothing against Irish people. I’m just against Irish nationalism. Irish people are great so long as they don’t support the existence of Ireland. That’s fascist! I even know a few Irish people who agree with me. Are you going to tell them they're not real Irish people? They celebrate St. Patrick's Day!

Ireland is a white supremicist, Celtic supremacist and Catholic supremacist theocratic ethnostate. It was born in a war in which more British people were killed than Irish people, and early in its history 40,000 Protestants were kicked out or fled. Their descendants are still refugees, and will continue to be refugees in perpetuity until the Irish state ceases to exist.

Most Irish people don't even live in Ireland. They live in the United States, Canada, and Australia, as well as many other countries. They're not even really Irish. This is why genetic testing is illegal in Ireland.

Why can’t there be one state in the British isles? Why do Irish Catholics need their own state that privileges Irish Catholics over other people? From the Ocean to the Sea, the British Isles will be FREE!

Some people may think this is anti-Irish, but criticism of Irish nationalism is not anti-Irish. Irish people always say that any criticism of Ireland is anti-Irish. But why can’t I criticize the Irish state?

I don't think wanting a country free of English rule fascist. They were their own country on a different island until the English took them over.

I do agree that ultra nationalism and the Catholic church have definite fascist aspects.

@JimboSaturn Well stated, imho. Ireland was a nation unto itself until England conquered it, largely by using Norman mercenaries from France. How is fighting to regain your independence fascistic? And in actuality, it was done under a Papal bull to convert the Celtic people to Catholicism when England was still Catholic and the Anglican Church had not been formed.

Cromwell later attempted to eradicate Irish Catholics by importing Protestant Scots to become landowners, taking land from the Irish Catholics partially leading to the massive Irish diaspora.

As a recovering Catholic, I have no love for the Church and much of its dogma. But Ireland, from what I have read and saw when I was there, has made significant strides in moving away from being a theocracy.

@dancingtongue I believe the modern Ireland is becoming increasingly secular. Yes I agree with you take on Ireland's history. I think their is plenty of English jingoism to go around.

@LeopoldBloom I don't dispute that, and I see the parallel that you are trying to make. After WWII the UN tried to rectify more recent history out of guilt for not doing more to stop the Holocaust by re-creating that homeland for descendants of the Jewish diaspora who wished to return, by creating a new secular state in what was the British territory of Palestine. The Zionists hijacked that and formed the theocracy of Israel which is basically a form of apartheidism where non-Jews are second-class citizens. And since then have resisted all efforts at a two-state solution where Palestine would be a freely-elected state on the remainder of the territory.

The era of the 6-Day War in which Israel was attacked and in defending themselves wound up occupying Gaza and the West Bank territories are over. Israel has consistently ignored international law on their ownership, blockaded all supplies including humanitarian to Gaza, unilaterally annexed and built on occupied territory against international law and despite UN sanctions.

I think it has reached a point where the Israeli government of Bibi Netanyahu can be criticized without it being an anti-sematic attack on Judaism.
