Many countries have been in war. But what are recent historical examples of countries that haven't been held to the same moral standards as Israel?

I'll mention two:

1. The 2020-2022 Tigray War in Ethiopia which is estimated to have killed between 162,000 - 600,000 people due to war and famine, a lot of horrific incidents happened as well. Hardly any media coverage

2. Blockade of Yemen during the Yemeni Civil War (2014 - present) by Saudi Arabia that had been going on for some years.

You’re absolutely correct. We have not held these groups in Ethiopia to the same standards.

For instance, we did not give them arms and ammunition, $Bs, a gift from US taxpayers, to murder tens of thousands of children.

I will have to say though, you may be mistaken in the Yemen case, because we did impose an embargo on non-defensive weapons against the Saudis, by the Obama administration. After which the Saudis pit all financial backing behind Trump.

And when Trump got to office, he resumed arming the Saudis.

Biden re-imposed the embargo, and tried making a pariah out of MBS. I also feel compelled to note that we did not gift the Saudis $15B in ammo, to murder Yemeni children.

@Puppycat23 by your logic, sanctioning israel is more appropriate than taking them to court.

@trollslayer And by your logic sanctioning a country stops a war. 🥴
you said the majority of people. Not the majority of activists
Activists are people…
That is not true, and you can’t even admit it to yourself, otherwise your while victim mentality falls apart.
I’m not even white bruh.
The fact that the Saudia arabia or ethiopia were not taken to ICJ is not proof that people hate israel, or even that they are being singled out.
That is proof that there’s a double standard here. There’s other proof about the hate Israel gets, the belief that Israel shouldn’t exist is one of them.

@Puppycat23 sorry, typo, that’s “whole”, not “white”. As to your first argument, perhaps you need a venn diagram? And yess, there is a double standard, quite prevalent in society. I never said there wasn’t. And there are folks that say the US shouldn’t exist. And Ukraine. And a whole bunch of other places. I never said they werent hated on.

@trollslayer

Throughout this entire conversation, you said nothing about double standards. You only mentioned it once I brought it up.
