There's currently a debate about whether Israel is committing genocide in Gaza, but . . .

@Burnley123 The whole this is complicated by propaganda on both sides of course. Hamas is the legitimate government of the Palestinians. (how "legitimate" it really is who knows?) So tthe Israelis can see them as partisan, if not aggressors. Equally Israel see the original aggression and hostage taking as a golden ticket to exarcise a level of brutality previously unthinkable and if that means "punishing" civilians, "bad luck." The only people who will actually fight for the Palestinians are bad faith actors like Iran, who wont fight openly..😷

I also don’t think Egypt minds losing Gaza in retrospect, either, and Jordan makes no claim on the West Bank.

America has taken millions of immigrants, we needed them, so I understand the point you’re making.

And of course Israel also took in quite a few Jews but that was welcome sand part of the plan.
