Gaza has over 2 million citizens, prior to the lake nich NG of a major terrorist action by Hamas, Gaza was self governing, but preferred to have Hamas be a n charge. Hamas regularly launched missile attacks, but used whatever funds it had to build its terrorist army rather than invest in what services the Gazan people needed. There were many attempts to normalize the area, but Hamas refused. Hamas has sworn to eliminate the state of Israel, kill all the Jews. Just launched an unprovoked, slaughter of hundreds of innocent civilians.

@Moon3624 If you want to blame anyone for the situation in Gaza, start with Hamas. Everything Israel does is in response to their terror campaign. Israel pulled out of Gaza completely in 2006 and only imposed the blockade when Hamas decided to use Gaza as a terror staging ground instead of developing it.
