@Justanothername Everything you say is correct.. But.....None of that will pay back one cent of the $40 Trillion America has borrowed from the rest of the world. AND. The Democrats are funded largely from the same pool of rich people who funded the Republicans and Trump.. AND Trump is not going to go quietly and the worse his results are, the more he will scream that its rigged and there was voter fraud and hold it up in the courts and the senate and congress have not made a single move to show they wont roll over and support his efforts..AND The damage Trump has done to Americas status and reputation overseas will not be forgiven and forgetten the moment he leaves. (In the unlikely event he does)😷

All those things are true but I'm not sure they were motivations.
If you look in to how authoritarianism works, and who it works on, you'll see it's not about specific policies. It's about fear and enemies with only person able to "save" and "protect." That's the recipe throughout history and exists in most any cult.
