Northrop Grumman shareholders will certainly win.
Roundandroundwego · 61-69
@DealingWithTrouble yes! US voters allow war profits.
CleverGirl · 26-30, FNew
At the rate the GOP is failing USA Iran seems destined to outlast.
Alyosha · 36-40, M
I remember when I was a child talking to my dad about his career (he was a USMC fighter pilot) and he told me that you can win with air power - but: "you still have to stand on the ground you've taken." There's no real way to beat Iran without ground troops. You can do whatever you want from the air, but as long as they still stand on that ground, they haven't really lost. And that's pretty much our enemies' strategy these days - outlast us. It's worked well for them ever since Vietnam.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@Alyosha And putting troops on the ground is certain path to defeat for America. Those troops will aotomatically become targets and casualties as soon as they are in rifle range..😷
swirlie · 31-35, F
@Alyosha
You mean, it's worked well for them ever since the War of 1812, Vietnam, Panama, Iraq, Afghanistan and now Iran will prove to be one more bad experience that the US military can add to it's list of lost wars that America started.
I wonder when the US military is going to figure out that Americans are really not natural warriors, despite having access to the best hardware in existence?

I seriously doubt it, Iran has too many sanctions for too many years to acquire a stockpile of weaponry, though they have a lot not as much as the US.
ElwoodBlues · M
Nobody will win tRump's war with Iran. However, the US, with its much higher standard of living, has more to lose.
SisterShadow · 18-21, F
i dont really see many options how the usa can win.... i mean i absolutely despise the iran goverment, but the usa have maneuvered themself into a position where they cannot win.
ArishMell · 70-79, M
I don't think anyone will "win" anything that could be called a victory.
The nearest to "winning" will be which of the three nations directly fighting will lose the least.

SisterShadow · 18-21, F
@ArishMell its all about the set goals... iran will win if their goverment stays in control.. usa will win if there is a regime change. quite the easy way to tell who wins
ArishMell · 70-79, M
@SisterShadow And Israel, who started it?
Israel and Iran have never made it a secret of wanting each other to collapse, and they are consistent in that; but the USA's aim seems to change every week.
There is no sign that the Iranian rule will collapse. It is undeniably deeply fascist and belligerant; but like some other totalitarian states, its system is designed for continuity even with heavy losses of sennior politicians and officials.
If it did though, what will replace it? A chaotic, barely-habitable mess ripe for exploitation by Russia, China and brigands like ISIS or the Taliban?

Will Trump hating liberals ever quit sucking irans d1ck?
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
The thing people forget to do is set the conditions for Victory before things get out of hand. All Iran has to do to "win". Is survive. America has to change things in a way that is specifically favourable to them. My money is on Iran..Short of Israel nuking the place..Then I think the world will have much bigger problems..😷

@LordShadowfire I agree.. In fact we might go back just a little further to the arbitrary post war drawing of the map lines mostly by the British. It ignored a number of ethnic and religious groupings that have been the source of tension since.😷

@LordShadowfire Yes. Its all fun and games until someone blows up your family..😷
ArishMell · 70-79, M
As I replied earlier, no-one will "win" anything, just lose less than the other, but where is any definition of "victory" in this war?
SinlessOnslaught · M
I'm certainly not on the US's side morally but at the same time, I don't understand how Iran could win the war. The US has all the military power, unfortunately.
Sharon · F
@SinlessOnslaught The US had all that in Vietnam and Korea but they didn't really win. They couldn't even handle Afghanistan without back up from NATO.
SinlessOnslaught · M
@Sharon True but unfortunately in all cases, we've still killed a lot of people and destroyed economies and infrastructure. That's a big deal when it comes to the aspect of attrition.
jackjones68 · 51-55, M
They don't need to win it. It's like Vietnam, they just need to aggravate the US. Send up $100 drones, shot down by $1m patriot missiles. The money counts, Big ships, big balls, cost money!!

No one wins in war
MrSmooTh · 31-35, M
Not a chance in hell.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@MrSmooTh And when was the last time an invading force successfully inposed their regime on an invaded nation without the support of the local people??😷
lissah · 36-40, F
Hell. No.
SWNewDragon · M
Does anyone even care one way or the other anymore
GoFish ·
@SWNewDragon lots of people care and the ones who don't are beyond ignorant af
SWNewDragon · M
@GoFish thats only your opinion alot of people actually dont give a shit and think the United States should just mind their own damn business and stop trying to fight other countries wars for them
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
Seems to me they already have. They've gone from letting just anybody through the Strait of Hormuz to charging a toll, and Trump has blood coming out of his whatever over it.
FeetAreFantastic · 41-45, MVIP
Nobody will win this stupid war
GoFish ·
@FeetAreFantastic it's not stupid . it's very important for many people that have been attacked and victimized by the regime for years. fyi it's the popular news stance that is stupid and the people that buy into their wrong views
specman · 51-55, M
No
MethDozer · M
The only objective in this shjt show is keeping Bibi in power and outbof court and distracting the public from Trump's Epstein link and being held accountable. So from thay perspective it is already won.
