Did Vance really think he was going to go over there and wrap it up in a day. We negotiated with Vietnam (from a position of strength?) for 5 years. Russia and Ukraine are still negotiating.

Every day something different from the day before spews out of his demented mind. He didn't have a plan going in and he doesn't have one now.
He thought this was going to be a simple operation like Venezuela. I suspect many of our military leaders told him it wouldn't be that easy. But he never listens, he thinks he knows more than everyone else.
