Would you support US involvement in the Iran war no matter how many American lives were lost?

If it depends, how many American lives are worth it before you wouldn’t support it?

@whowasthatmaskedman

They voted for him because of absolutely monumental bungling by the Democrats.

@Thinkerbell Right on cue.

@Thinkerbell 😁 Mayhaps it was an inner ear thing. 😵‍💫 Vertigo is the worst feeling I've ever experienced personally.

Nah, clumsy Joe got his foot caught in the toe cage of the right pedal.

Just another one of his "see, I'm fit" pretenses gone south. 🙄

The Democrats couldn't get their act together because of too many internal contradictions. For example, Harris could probably have won Pennsylvania if she had had Gov Josh Shapiro as a running mate. But that would have violated a core principle of having a VP candidate dumber than the presidential candidate, which in Kamala's case took quite some doing, so she went with Tim Walz instead. Another problem with Shapiro was that he is Jewish, which would have alienated the anti-Semitic, pro-Hamas wing of the party.

@Thinkerbell Yeah, unfortunately not everyone can be the fit stud that our current leader is.

@Thinkerbell Let me start my reply by saying you may very well be correct with everything you said. Then follow that by saying that makes you part of the problem. Now I will repeat what i have often said here for a long time. Both sides of America politics really suck, and I have an idea on why that might be, based on where the money for both sides comes from. But this still makes you, and the other side, the problem..
Since before Trump ever showed up in US politics, there has been a focus on the right particularly, to block, undo prevent and beat the agenda of the left, above achieving actual goals and advancing the policies of the right. Sadly the left picked up the call almost immediately and did the same thing. So now for over a decade, nothing is actually getting done in America and the place is going to pot. (Literally in some states) And here is where the fun starts. Because Americans overall still have this blinkered view that the world IS America. And maybe to some extent it used to be. But it isnt now. And the world has been moving on. Americas terrible performance during Covid was splashed globally, although I guess you didnt hear too much about how much better other nations were doing. It was bad everywhere. but worse in America than many third world countries. Before that the Global Financial Crisis, largely created by America and sold as an "investment opportunity" globally had most countries giving Americas money the side eye. At this point America needed to step up and restore its image. Get a makeover and a new hairstyle and relaunch. "Baby I'm back!" And along came Trump.. Since then, America has not taken a positive step on the world stage.
I am going to ignore everything he has done. failed to do or promised to do...I am going to ignore the miserable efforts of the left to curb him.. But while both sides are busy hurling abuse at each other, the rest of the world has, one by one, got up and walked out on the sh*t show. America has fallen behind and all anyone is doing is blaming the other side. The world is leaving America behind. And it used to be a nice place. Left or right doesnt matter. Its a two man tug of war between those sides, all the energy wasted and nothing in the way of progress in the world will come out of it..But as long as your side beats the other side, that doesnt matter.. Does it?😷
@whowasthatmaskedman not sure what side you assume im on. I’m American, not afilliated with any political party, and I always vote my conscience. But I don’t disagree that the two party system in the USA is a problem. It is. George Washington thought political parties divide a country and I agree with him.

@BiasForAction We are good. (In case you thought we werent.) I dont have a side. (Or a dog in this fight, being an outsider) I just follow the money and the economics. And the direction America has been on for decades is non productive. In fact, there are many parallels between how America has been going and how trump conducts his businesses. I wont speculate of how the American people see that. But the numbers dont lie..😷

"So now for over a decade, nothing is actually getting done in America and the place is going to pot. (Literally in some states) And here is where the fun starts."

Well, as Lincoln so aptly said, "If destruction be our lot, we must ourselves be its author and finisher."

"Americas terrible performance during Covid was splashed globally, although I guess you didnt hear too much about how much better other nations were doing."

In fact, the Covid death rate in the US was only slightly worse than that of the UK (about 3600 per million vs 3400/million), so not exactly "terrible."

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/COVID-19_pandemic_death_rates_by_country

"The world is leaving America behind. And it used to be a nice place."

As I recall, the world didn't do particularly well when America was isolationist ("Avoid foreign entanglements," George Washington advised.)

@Thinkerbell That Lincoln was a pretty cluey guy.
