They're probably doing it long enough to sneak out of the country with billion$ of ill-gotten wealth. Looks like the head honcho ayatollah (and family of about 25) is halfway to a parked Russian plane at the airport headed to Moscow to meet up with former Syrian dictator Assad for asylum too. The same airport the shah left from in 1979.
