a smiler serious question

as the people of similar worlds know by now i am not a serious person on the whole usually .today the militiary strikes by israel on iranian nuclear weapon facilities got me thinking . all i would like really are honest opinions and not this end up similar worlds equivalent to world war three. this strike by israel to try and put pay to irans nuclear ambitions to have nuclear weapons was it worth it . granted this may put iran back now for a while in there ambitions to have weapons of mass destruction but after this attack do you think this will make iran more determined to work harder on getting these weapons

It's a very difficult balancing act that Israel has to perform. Not doing it allows the Iranian population to shut their eyes to what their government is up to militarily. Doing it risks pushing ordinary Iranians into feeling that they are under attack. Somewhere in the middle is enough pressure to cause the Iranian public to apply pressure to their rulers.

Ultimately there needs to be a secular revolution in Iran. But it's difficult to motivate enough people. After all it's not that many decades since the last revolution and I suspect that no one who remembers what really happens in revolutions will be encouraging their children take part.
