But is so sad and scary to see this week bad violence starting after the protests for some time. The police and forces backed by China to do this to people.

Hong Kong is such special place great history and culture and the people is such beautiful and intelligent, great writers and artists and so much amazing things for the World in all the time.

Only full independence for Hong Kong, China PR has to stop this influence every where around. Taiwan is to be next if election is wrong next year.
I love Hong Kong and have friends there. I am sad and concerned what is happening there. I have always been concerned for Taiwan.. we will see..

Lia, you wrote such a beautiful post about the HK tragedy.
It is so sad 😔 to see all this happening because we all knew the "Red Dragon" would eventually try to make HK like the rest of China. HK residents have a long struggle ahead of them.

China's economy is on return. What they do already will be very painful for people in mainland China in next 12 years. Xi has total power and Hong Kong or Taiwan is for the grab as long as they have means to do it.

I watched a news segment on this last night, PRC said that if the protest don't stop all of Hong Kong will suffer. Very Scary indeed

I think something big is started. I hope it's not another Tiananmen Square.

China has flex but to be honest, I rather China's influence than most western influences

@TaiduGirl If you want me to be honest, all this infighting between us Asians is kind of ridiculous, China included.

We have so much in resources and intelligence but we spend it fighting and arguing with each other.

We have the power to over take the west and prosper if we could actually get along.
@SW-User I'm torn. There's so much to say and I don't want to overwhelm you on text so I'd rather voice? https://vocaroo.com/i/s0gL9kSFMeEl

@TaiduGirl It is now late October and the HK situation is becoming worse by the day. 😔 As I commented 3 months ago, HKers have a long, hard struggle ahead of them if they want to remain independent from the Red Dragon.

Most Americans and many others do not know the story of Hong Kong and China and England.

Why it is really VERY important.

And how China is changing. But I know its a very important story and Americans need to know it and why it means a lot to America's place in the world too.

@Platoscave is maybe true this, Hong Kong is such important place in hte history of world trade
Platoscave · F
...and when it comes to "trade" you know its about everything else important too...
