Has much rural area in the Home Counties been ruined by HS2?

I'm very sorry that project was cancelled, Britain needs fast rail travel the few must be compensated if they lost their homes, it's possible to complete these project without too much loss to the surrounding countryside, I've always thought railway's blend in well in our countryside.

@KatyO83 One of those things. We have several on the go here in Canada as well. A train building company owns the government so people are getting a train whether they want it or not. It is costing a million euros a meter to build but they are pressing on.

Very little given it just runs up via Amersham and Aylesbury.
