Brits, what's going on with people showing the England flag all of a sudden?

Heard people are using it to scare immigrants which is obviously awful. Saw 2 of them today during a walk which weren't there before... Seeing this hate against coloured people spreading around the world is NOT what I want to deal with or see. It's sick. Can we please just treat eachother with respect?? Just be kind, it's not hard...

You need to look into the reasons properly before making illinformed opinions.. It has nothing to do with colour or race.. Its against illegal immigrants getting put up in hotels and getting benefits that that the people of this country are paying for.. The government is saying basically come on in you're welcome.. Instead of stay the hell away and go thru the immigration process properly

Nope.

It is not to do with illegal immigration. It is everything to do with colour and race. Why else are coloured people who are here legally, or who have been born and brought up in this country, also being targeted?

P.S. I'm wondering: did you vote for Brexit?

@wishforthenight your own post seem to disagree as you seem to have more to say about the USA than anything else... Personally im not in favour of allowing thousands of ILLEGAL immigrants into this country... Be they black brown red or green i dont care... Enter legally thats fine... Illegally and get sent back.. This country is not rich enough or big enough to support the dross of the world.. I fought and had to many friends die for this great nation to let thousands come here because they think its the land of milk n honey..

You also realise that approximately 80,000 illegal immigrants have entered the country since 2018. That's approximately 1.6% of all arrivals.

Yet they're bankrupting the country?

I will say that if it wasn't for Brexit we would not have the "problem" we're having now with the small boats.
