New Brighton, Merseyside [I Have Been to Brighton, England]
Not only have I been to Brighton, where I have family, but until recently I lived in New Brighton, on the banks of The River Mersey.

is New Brighton any where near Kent county or the town of Rye ,, i have family there but never meet ,,,, my Grand father came to Canada in 1922 ,,,

@oldercanuck1 No. Rye and Kent are the South East of England, nearest to France and continental Europe. New Brighton is on the NorthWest coast, on one side of the estuary of The River Mersey where it joins the Irish Sea. Car and truck ferries run from near here to Dublin and Belfast.

@oldercanuck1 Perhaps what I should have pointed out is that the City of Brighton is on the Southn Coast of England, not that far away from Rye.
