@Niceandnaughty79 Yes, I did. The first visit was in 1959. I remember all the famous places like Buckingham Palace and the British Museum, but my strongest and clearest memory was of seeing a vaudeville style performance by Max Bygraves.

2nd visit, the fall of 1978. A short visit in which I saw several plays including [i]The Mousetrap[/i] twice.

3rd visit: 1980. Saw more plays, revisited the British Museum, ate a lot of Indian food, got a very cool haircut at Vidal Sassoon, went to Albert Hall to hear the New World symphony, then ran across town to Freddie Lakers to buy a plane ticket home because I'd been abroad for months and the music made me homesick.

@greenmountaingal cool. Sounds like you enjoyed it very much. For me it's too busy I like the countryside better lol.

@Niceandnaughty79 If I ever get a chance, I would love to visit the English countryside--in summer. English people are so kind and classy. And they like cats (I saw quite a few cats sitting in shop windows napping).

@Niceandnaughty79 Right now I am old, recovering from some serious illness, and poor because I'm saving money to move to another desert town. But, maybe someday....
