Their consulates and embassy are enough .

@soar2newhighs I believe China is trying to build a new, larger embassy in London.
They have to go through the normal planning-permission system, but this revealed that the plans include rooms whose purposes have been deleted from the drawings available to the Council.
I would ask why they need a larger embassy anyway, and what they would do if permissionn was refused.

@ArishMell You’ve got as reported 3 000 mosques in the UK. You think your PM is going to refuse the CCP’s request? Rest assured if there is something “ in it” for him, permission will be given to build/ expand.

@soar2newhighs It does not work like that in the UK.
Mosques are places of worship not embassies, are paid for by their congregations. (Islam has no central organisation like the Churches of Rome and or England do, although Muslims in Britain have their "Muslim Council").
Embassies are paid for by by their own countries, and like mosques or factories or shops or houses building them need planning-permission usually administered at local or county level.
The Prime Minister is not involved in town planning; and there is "nothing in" any planning application for him or her.
The PM is not a President able to bypass Parliament, constitutional matters or laws, and cannot alone give or refuse a country permission to build an embassy. I do not know how that request is handled, but the planning laws refer to only the physical building.
