There used to be a local chain of diners in central Oklahoma called “Kettle” that stayed open all night every day of the week. This reminds me when groups of when college students in smaller cities here would get together and go on Kettle runs up to 60 miles. Just to get a meal in the middle of the night. Those restaurants got popular with students because they could go there and study at night and get free refills on their coffee.
