I had a friend once who was American but lived in Canada. He had to cross the border pretty much every day, and he said (this was the early 1980s) that he could do it just with his drivers license. I don't know if that was true at the time or not.

@Stephie yeah...all the shootings and extortion threats the indian gang bangers are doing aren't being done by legal firearms that can be purchased in canada....it's a daily occurence here
