Make smoking pot illegal

I am not suggesting getting rid of pot. That has been proven impossible, but that SMELL... Also the long term issues associated to smoking is well known, kills millions of people. Why not make smoking pot illegal, but ingesting THC in other ways legal?
Have a brownie, or eat a cookie, or put it in a candy bar or something. Anything that doesn't cause second hand <anything>.
If smoking pot was illegal, it would be easy to relay to the police.. impossible to hide.. easy to ticket.

There are no specific statistics on deaths directly attributed to inhaling marijuana smoke. However, marijuana smoke contains harmful chemicals similar to those found in tobacco smoke, which can lead to serious lung health issues over time.

More than 8 million people die prematurely each year due to tobacco use, with the majority of these deaths resulting from smoking. This includes approximately 7 million deaths from direct tobacco use and around 1.3 million non-smokers who die from exposure to second-hand smoke.
