Should Canada load up on nuclear weapons?

Since Rump and his gang of thugs think they are the ultimate power on the Western Hemisphere, and are using their military to take things they want, maybe Canada should have some nuclear weapons for defence too?
It has always been unnecessary for us to have them since the US were our best friends and we gave them basically free reign over our country, but now that they are not friendly to us, and clearly they are NOT, maybe we should reconsider?

Nuclear war would not be won by anyone other than on the basis of being the less-devastated.

Besides, warfare is developing in ways that might make these terrible weapons obsolete, or even just widespread death and damage, less "necessary".

its weird how much one well placed ftard (trump) has unwound the western world in such a short time. the whole reason we built things like nato was to say 'its cool. ill hold the brick and gasoline, if someone is after you, ill set their house on fire.' and there wouldnt be a need for 20 gascans all over. i can't say i blame anyone who'd have significant doubts about the us with tacotits mccankles steering, but its sad that we're here

@sstronaut This is true, and maybe some sensible heads will be back in control after. Certainly looks bleak right now. Imagine your best friend losing his mind and suddenly deciding he not only wants your wife and car, but he also wants your house and land and he is going to take it by attacking your money structure.

No, it is futile. It is better to focus on ensuring that military leaders do not follow illegal orders. Better to neutralize trump.
