Carney wants to crash your economy and hand you to klauss Schwab on a silver platter
Most of the mail we get these days comes in the form of advertising flyers, but I do prefer Canada Post for package shipments, especially from overseas as they do not automatically add on brokerage and import taxes like Fedex and those other shipping companies do.
Door to door mail delivery is needed for some people. Perhaps they could make home delivery a subscription option, or bring in a third party to do it for a small fee.

I heard because they lose more money than what they gain every year, so they had to do a cut....

Canada post losses $10M a day, it's economic model is no longer viable; it's going bankrupt.

Mmm careful. Sounds kind of like they are taking notes from the George W. Bush playbook. The USPS was long a bain of free market conservatives and libertarians. It being a massively popular and effective government business that ran underbudget and always at a net profit. So W. Bush and his Republican douchbages came in and changed a bunch of things in order to sabotage it. Once their new policies were in effect. Boom, USPS starts oppersting at a loss so now they can blame it on veing an unefficient publicly owned entitiy and twist it into private business can donkt better. When the reality was private business could barely compete until some crooked republicans came in and strategically manipulated things and enacted policies just to try and makenit fail and lose money.

@Quimliqer It's a fiction, driven by a desire from those who run it to privatize (and make themselves very rich in doing so).
- Canada Post's 800 million dollar deficits in the past few years tie directly to an approved four billion dollar spending plan to be spent over five years. They deliberately budgeted to show this approved expenditure as a deficit.
- The company has a 91% share in purolator which is pulling in four billion dollars in revenue.
- If a private company is hemmorhaging money they don't go "well this business model is failed" they fire the CEO. The current CEO has been sitting over all of these losses and last year's strike and he's doing fine.
It's also the post office. How much money does the RCMP lose? What about my local high school? It's a public service. I don't hear about how policing is unsustainable.
