I kinda am already. It’s boring.

Advantage of being retired is you can avoid weekend crowds. You don't have to be there. You can pick and choose when you want to be anywhere.
I was lucky to get a good early retirement package. Unlucky to soon after start a decade of health problems which meant I had to adjust / helped me adjust.
Work is indeed a problem. You do hit the "too old" issue. Unless you were at very senior manager / Director level too many companies do indeed see you as shelf stacker material. Then again if that's all thats on offer take on the challenge of climbing the ladder over again. Maybe learn another trade or skill. Best of luck in adjusting and finding some fun in your retirement.

Same here.
Weekends are bad for people being everywhere. Same as school holidays. Children and parents all over the place.
Weekdays are perfect for finding secluded spaces.

I'm spending most of my time sorting through stuff, cleaning, reorganizing stuff and tossing stuff. I have a helper. Feel like I'm washed up. No idea as to how to make any money. Was an engineer but I'm outdated. Interviewed a few places but naw, it's futile. Not sure if my knees and feet could handle stocking shelves. Too busy living to work anyway.

Looking forward to retiring somewhere in the next 15 years when I'm around the age of 65 to 70.
Might be close to half paying off house by then.

I could not imagine being retired.
