Hat patch on hat

Not sure why this makes me LOL. The picture of the hat with the "repair" on it is too much. I circled it.
Is that like a bullet hole or something?

Lol I mean it's not bad being born in Texas I see them all the time so I guess I'm used to it. Some of them look cool.
