Only in Canada

The elected head of the federal government runs into some reporters and is asked about the ongoing conflict between Canada and the US. Sadly no one listened to his answers because everyone noticed he had his pull over sweater on backwards. Was that a signal as intentional? or was that the result of him too focused to notice or was he on drugs? Inquiring minds want to know.

There’s a conflict between Canada and the US?

@WintaTheAngle Trump knows that the US got beat in Ukraine under Biden so Trump is trying to save face by taking over Canada.

@hippyjoe1955 It’s just a lot of publicity. If he really intends to go through with half of what he said the US will be internationally ostracised. You guys along with Mexico and China are their biggest trading partners. Should there ever be a coordinated attempt by you three to chastise the US , the average American voter would feel it in their pockets.

@WintaTheAngle It is being taken very seriously here in Canada. There has been an election in one of the provinces over it.

@hippyjoe1955 That’s understandable. The US has a larger direct impact there than it does over here. But there’s a lot of ground to cover between now and then. But everyone is watching closely.

@WintaTheAngle If Trump reduces taxes and regulations Canada is hooped!

@hippyjoe1955 He’s not as smart or as competent as he likes to tell people. Do you remember that wall he promised? Neither do the contractors who banked their financial survival on it.

@WintaTheAngle His plan doesn't require a lot of smarts. Canada has been extremely foolish and is primed for takeover. I think it was planned to surrender to the WEF EU but it looks like the US wants Canada more.

@hippyjoe1955 He could be two busy arguing with Russians over Panama or Europe over Greenland. The US tells the world it’s invincible but the last 60 confirmed that’s not at all the case. It’s a divided house, its economy should be diverse but it’s linear enough to be vulnerable, and good old hubris makes them walk blindly into entirely avoidable scenarios.
So yes they are a credible concern but it’s a long old game.
