Are log homes warm?

I love the look of a log cabin, they look amazing inside. My wife thinks if its -30c outside, that the cold will seep through the wood to the inside. Anyone here live in a log cabin?

I have stayed overnight in one, admittedly in Summer, in Sweden. They are not simply a box made of tree-trunks, as that would be very cold and draughty, but are lined and panelled in various ways.
