Are log homes warm?
I love the look of a log cabin, they look amazing inside. My wife thinks if its -30c outside, that the cold will seep through the wood to the inside. Anyone here live in a log cabin?

I had a log home, but it was made of half round logs machined on three sides. There grooves cut into the top and bottom faces of the logs to take a heavy plastic fillet. The house was heavy and stable and quiet, easy to heat in winter and keep cool in summer, and most importantly it barely moved in earthquakes.
