Really? So an incident like this happens in Canada, which isn’t very common, and your conclusion is that it doesn’t matter if you have strict gun laws or not?
You can’t see the correlation between all the mass shootings happening in the US and between your gun laws, but you can see a correlation between an isolated case of two stabbers and gun laws in Canada?

@deadgerbil to be honest, it takes a mentality unstable person with a gun to do damage.

@easterniowegin one could argue violence is a part of society we will never be able to eliminate but at least we can restrict access to weapons that could cause much faster and easier a lot more harm.

@SW-User but that is such an ineffective and emotional response to the problem.
You don't punish an entire segment of the population for a few offenders.
Why not advocate for stricter penalties for offenders?
Or maybe we could evaluate the true root causes of the problem: poor training in respect/handling of weapons, poor mental health treatments, proper handling of bullies in the school environment, lack of enforcement of current laws by FBI/LEOs, hundreds of thousands of illegals pouring over our border, drug activity, gang activity, etc.
NONE of this ever gets addressed.
Or how about we complete an investigation with appropriate resulting discipline? Las Vegas? Uvalde?
We are too soft on crime...but want to be stricter with law-abiding citizens. It makes zero sense.

@easterniowegin I'm from Europe and do not understand why people should be in possesion of guns that are purely a mean of destruction.

@GeistInTheMachine I shot a shot gun once, I think that’s what it was and a hand gun. No idea what they were called but my friend had them and he took me to the shooting range. That’s one of the two times I have seen real guns and I live in Canada.
